# PAGUP Agent Control

PAGUP Agent Control is a WordPress plugin for guided AI connections, structured public-page inspection and controlled content tasks. It is published by Pagup. Access governance is how it works, not what it is for.

## What a site owner can do

- Connect a compatible AI account, then ask questions about published pages. Public reading needs no task.
- Authorize a temporary task in WordPress to read selected unpublished content or to prepare changes.
- A draft task directly revises only the drafts it created; selected references stay read-only.
- Changing existing content requires an exact object, field and current-content approval. Publication is a separate permission and a separate task.
- End a task to drop its temporary scope while public reading continues; pause or revoke the connection to stop its tools.

## Requirements

- WordPress >=6.9 and PHP >=8.1. The 0.9.4 line remains available for WordPress 6.5 to 6.8.
- A compatible AI account belonging to the site owner. No AI subscription is included with the plugin licence.
- Adding a custom connector depends on the AI provider, the account plan and the workspace permissions.

## Plans and separate add-on

- Solo, Pro and Agency support the same guided task families and advanced REST profiles. They differ by licensed site count: one, five and twenty sites. Existing authorizations are not expanded automatically. See https://wpagentcontrol.com/pricing/.
- Full Power Access is a separately licensed administrative add-on, not a fifth protected mode and not included in Solo, Pro or Agency.
- The four advanced REST profiles are Read Only, Draft, Content Editor and Publisher. They are a separate path from the guided MCP connection and do not inherit its approval contract.

## Limits that matter to a reader

- Content returned through a connection is sent to the AI service the site owner chose. Revoking a connection does not recall what was already sent.
- Scoped snapshots cover supported content changes. They are not a complete site backup.
- Published status in WordPress does not prove a page is public for every visitor; member areas and paywalls need a separate check.
- WooCommerce, ACF, page builders and SEO integrations are not native guided tasks and need separate evaluation.
